Philanthropy

The Long Island Alumnae Chapter proudly supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Friends of Karen and the Tri Delta Foundation. The Chapter works hard in raising money for these great charities, events throughout the year are focused on raising money for these organizations.

We look forward to your participation in helping us for such great causes! Please visit this website regularly for information on upcoming events. We look forward to seeing you at a philanthropy event soon!

If you have any suggestions for philanthropy events, please contact our Philanthropy Chair, Cigdem Muslu Puzantyan.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly. The hospital accepts all patients, regardless of the family's ability to pay. Your donation makes a real difference.

Delta Delta Delta Foundation

The Foundation raises, manages, and awards funds to provide graduate, undergraduate, and professional development scholarships for our members, to assist alumnae and collegiate members in financial need, and to support innovative educational and leadership opportunities presented by the Fraternity. In 2008 Tri Deltas celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Delta Delta Delta Foundation, which continues to brighten the future for today's young sisters by providing extraordinary scholarship and leadership opportunities. In 2007, scholarships (awarded for academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and community service) resulted in $82,500+ for 45 outstanding undergraduate and graduate sisters.

The Crescent Fund provides assistance with medical costs, food, housing and basic household expenses. Originally designed to assist elderly members, the Crescent Fund adapted to meet the changing needs of alumnae of any age. There is no typical need or applicant for Crescent Fund assistance. Through the Crescent Funds, the Delta Delta Delta Foundation directed more than $70,000 to members in financial crisis, and some $151,000 funded leadership and educational endeavors available to sisters at every chapter. Last year, the Crescent Fund provided $76,775 to 17 Tri Delta alumnae. Such assistance strengthens the perpetual bond of friendship in a unique and lasting way.

Please let your light shine on tomorrow by giving to the Annual Fund today. CLICK HERE to make a donation to the DDD Foundation.
